Trio Killed In Parkway Crash Mourned By Loved Ones
Condolences were pouring in Tuesday, Aug. 8 for the three victims killed in last weekend's crash on the Garden State Parkway. Sabrina Kontos, 24, of Ocean Grove, Dion Bullock, 27, of Asbury Park, and Omar Williams, 28, of Eatontown, all died in the 9:50 p.m. accident in Port Republic (Atlantic County) Sunday, Aug. 6, New Jersey State Police said. 3 Killed In Crash On Garden State Parkway
Three people were killed in a crash when their car left the Garden State Parkway and struck a tree, authorities said. The crash occurred at 9:52 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 6 on the southbound lanes of the highway near milepost 44.6 in Port Republic in Atlantic County, according to New Jersey State Police. A Kia struck the rear of a Toyota, causing the Kia to lose control and run off the road and hit a tree, State Police said. South Jersey Man Arrested In Head-On Crash That Killed Motorcyclist: Prosecutor
A South Jersey man has been arrested in connection with a head-on crash that killed a motorcyclist, authorities said. Steven Hanlin of Egg Harbor City was arrested on Monday by New Jersey State Police and members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Officer, according to Prosecutor Cary Shill. The fatal crash occurred on Oct. 3, 2020, on Clarks Landing Road in Port Republic, Shill said. Hanlin allegedly failed to maintain his lane of travel and entered into the oncoming lane where he struck a motorcycle head-on, operated by Anthony Migliaccio, Shill said. State Police: 8 Injured In Work Van Crash On Garden State Parkway
Eight people were injured after a work van collided with a minivan on the Garden State Parkway In Atlantic County Tuesday afternoon, state police said. The work van crashed into a minivan, causing the minivan to overturn in the northbound lanes near milepost 47.3 in Port Republic just before 2:35 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice. The eight occupants of the minivan suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Curry said. The crash remains under investigation, authorities said.
