Man Burned, Firefighter Injured By Late-Night Cliffside Park Apartment Fire
A late-night fire at an apartment building in Cliffside Park left one man hospitalized and displaced numerous residents on Sunday, Dec. 29, officials said. The fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. at 319 Gorge Road, Apartment 3. Emergency responders from Cliffside Park were assisted by Fairview and Ridgefield Police and Fire Departments, Fort Lee Ambulance, and Edgewater Ambulance, according to Bill Maer, a spokesman for Cliffside Park. Ambulance Service Suspended After Patient Dies Of Injuries From NJ Crash: State Officials
A private ambulance company has been suspended from operating in New Jerse after a fatal crash last fall. The company's suspension is subject to further investigation by the New Jersey Department of Health An unrestrained patient later died of injuries from the crash on a non-emergency transport. The ambulance struck a telephone pole in the single-vehicle crash on Oct. 22, 2022, in Clark. Emergency Drill Planned At Train Station In Glen Rock Saturday
NJ Transit will conduct an emergency drill Saturday at the Main Line train station in Glen Rock, police said. Several train cars will be used in the drill. NJ Transit personnel as well as police, fire and ambulance squads from Glen Rock and surrounding towns will take part. The parking lot at the station will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Vehicles must be removed from the lot by 2 a.m. Saturday, police said. Rock Road will remain open during the drill. More information from NJ Transit was expected later this week, police also said.
