Temperatures Plunge After Storm Dumps A Foot Of Snow On Bethel, Newtown NEWTOWN AND BETHEL, Conn. -- Temperatures plunged Thursday afternoon after a powerful winter storm dumped about a foot of snow on Bethel and Newtown, with snow falling for much of the morning and into early afternoon. The National Weather Service predicted that 10 to 14 inches of snow would fall in the region Thursday. Seven properties and 41 marina slip units were transferred to new owners in January after the six month redemption period ended. “The collection of more than $4.25 million in back taxes makes this tax sale successful,'' Biagiarelli said. Dylan Garner, 43, pleaded guilty in the home invasion, which occurred in June of 2015, according to The Advocate.
