Repeat Embezzler Absconds To Germany With Bergen Realtor’s $600,000
A convicted embezzler who’d apparently made a fresh start fled to Germany with $600,000 of a Bergen County realtor and commercial property manager’s money, authorities said. Detectives in Closter were closing in on Klaus Brueggemeier, 57, of Demarest, when he absconded to Frankfurt and became a wanted man, Closter Police Capt. Vincent Aiello said on Tuesday, Nov. 21. Services have been set for the 45-year-old man fatally struck by a train in Ramsey. Evan Blauvelt, of Hewitt resident, was identified as as the man struck and killed by an NJ Transit train in Ramsey on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 15, transit officials said Blauvelt, who was pronounced dead at the scene, is being remembered as a man who loved the outdoors, according to his obituary. All New Cars Must Be Electric Come 2035 In New Jersey: Murphy
New cars in New Jersey will look a little different in 2035. Gov. Phil Murphy announced that by 2035 all new vehicle sales in New Jersey will be zero-emission vehicles (ZEV), with the transition beginning in 2027. Advanced Clean Cars II, which takes effect on Dec. 18, requires manufacturers of passenger cars and light-duty trucks to meet an annual ZEV requirement intended to increase the percentage of electric vehicles sold in the state.
