Water Main Break Floods Portion Of Route 17 In Paramus A water main break flooded a portion of Route 17 in Paramus on Friday, Sept. 27 around noon. Veolia Water responded to the scene to mitigate the leak, and the right lane of Route 17 South will be closed until further notice, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. As a result, the Chipotle and the Ashley Furniture complex have been temporarily closed. Water has been flowing into the driveway and undermining parts of the highway, however, Veolia has shut the water, the chief said.
