Fund Launched For Children Of Retired Bergen-Area Detective Who Died At 44
As the time for final goodbyes nears, many of those who knew and loved retired Washington Township Police Officer and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Heather Castronova are trying to do what they can for her two children.
Toward that end, Laura Padilla has launched a GoFundMe campaign.
Castronova, 44, died unexpectedly at her home in Allendale on Feb. 8, apparently as the result of a medical condition, those who knew her said.

Snoozing Suspect Nabbed In Stolen SUV With Fobs To Other Cars: Ho-Ho-Kus PD
An out-of-state suspect was caught with crack and several key fobs to other vehicles after he stopped to take a snooze in a stolen SUV in Ho-Ho-Kus, authorities said.
A call of a suspicious vehicle brought Saddle River, borough and Washington Township police to Paddock Road near Werimus Road shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, Ho-Ho-Kus Police Capt. Greg McBain said.
Officers found Elijah Augustin, 27, of Ozone Park, Queens sleeping behind the wheel of a 2016 Kia Sorrento reported stolen out of Nassau County on Long Island, he said.

Warren County Woman Accused Of Selling Ecstasy: Police
A Warren County woman accused of selling ecstasy was arrested following a two-week investigation, authorities said.
Elizabeth B. Racanelli, 19, was arrested Dec. 22, Hackettstown Police said Tuesday.
Racanelli, of Mansfield Township, was charged with third-degree distribution of ecstasy, third-degree possession with intent to distribute ecstasy and employing a juvenile in a drug distribution scheme, police said.
Racanelli is scheduled to appear in court.

Two Warren County residents have been charged with possessing and selling meth and heroin, authorities said.
Cortney Deremer and Alonzo Widenor, both 28, were charged following a local six-week investigation into the sale of meth and heroin by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, officials said Wednesday.
Deremer, of Washington, was charged with two counts of distribution of CDS, three counts of possession with intent to distribute CDS and possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

Prosecutor: Phillipsburg Man, 23, Charged With Sexual Assault, Child Endangerment
A Phillipsburg man was charged Wednesday on accusations involving sexual assault of a minor, authorities said.
Thomas J. Luster, 23, is accused of committing “multiple acts of sexual penetration and sexual contact” upon a child between the ages of 13 and 16, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a Thursday release.
Luster, of Henshaw Court, was at least four years older than and previously knew the victim, Pfeiffer said.
Luster was charged with two counts of sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child (sexual conduct), authorities said.

A 24-year-old man accused of selling cocaine and other drugs in Hackettstown was arrested following a week-long investigation, authorities said.
A search of Christopher Cerrato's Laurie Terrace home turned up cocaine, ecstasy, Xanax, Lorazepam, marijuana and an unspecified amount of cash, Acting Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said Tuesday.
Cerrato, of Allentown, PA, was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, ecstasy, Xanax, Lorazepam and marijuana, as well as other drug possession offenses, Pfeiffer said.

Raid Of 26-Year-Old Warren County Man's Home Turns Up Pills, Mushrooms, Cocaine
A 26-year-old Warren County man accused of selling cocaine and other drugs was arrested following a month-long investigation, authorities said.
Jeramy Lepisko, 26, was arrested Sept. 24 after a search of his home on Allen Road in Mansfield Township turned up cocaine, mushrooms, morphine, Suboxone, OxyContin, Xanax and more than $9,000 in cash, Acting Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said Tuesday.
Lepisko’s 2006 Ford Fusion was also confiscated in the investigation, Pfeiffer said.
