The vehicle veered off the roadway alongside Home Goods at 977 Valley Road in Gillette before striking a tree and landing in a low water level portion of the Passaic River around 10:30 a.m., Long Hill Township Police Chief Ahmed Naga told DailyVoice.com. Morris County Strip Mall Hit-Run Sends Pedestrian To Hospital A pedestrian was hospitalized with head and back injuries in a hit-and-run crash at a Morris County strip mall last week, authorities said. The victim was struck by Caprise Keets, 53, of Manville (Somerset County), around at the Valley Mall in Gillette around 10:20 a.m. on Dec. 23, Long Hill police said. The pedestrian was transported to Morristown Hospital by the Long Hill First Aid Squad.  Keets was issued a summons for careless driving with a pending court date in Long Hill Township Court.

Update: Sedan Driver Issued Summons For Long Hill School Bus Crash A 48-year-old Montville driver was issued a summons for reckless driving following a chain reaction crash involving a school bus, authorities said. The man struck a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old man from Stockholm, that was pushed into a school bus carrying 17 children on Morristown Road around 7:10 a.m. Sept. 4, Long Hill Police Lt.
