No one was seriously injured when a wagon driven by an 83-year-old local driver slammed into a Paramus nail salon Tuesday afternoon. Vehicles that hit storefronts ordinarily don't make it in very far. Not the 2007 Lexus RX that crashed into Bliss Nails in the Highland Shopping Center on East Ridgewood Avenue shopping center shortly around 1:45 p.m. Dec. 6. Bus Downs Utility Pole In Paramus
A bus driver with no passengers avoided injury after toppling a utility pole in Paramus. The NJ Transit bus clipped the pole on East Ridgewood Avenue adjacent to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home and Bergen New Bridge Medical Center shortly before 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. : Detox Patient Released From Bergen Hospital Steals Ambulance, Caught By NJ State Police
A man just released from a detox program was captured by state troopers on the Garden State Parkway after he stole an ambulance from outside Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus early Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. Daniel Grant Wyres, 37, of Marlton got into the unattended ambulance and drove off from the East Ridgewood Avenue facility at 12:50 p.m., Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton said. Bus, Car Collide At Busy Paramus Intersection
No serious injuries were reported when a car collided with a commuter bus at a busy Paramus intersection. The private vehicle was headed south on Paramus Road when it collided with an out-of-service New Jersey Transit 163 bus heading west on East Ridgewood Avenue shortly before 2 p.m., responders said. Paramus firefighters popped a door on the private vehicle to free the driver. Borough police were investigating.

UPDATE: A downed power line may have been responsible for a smoky Paramus blaze doused by firefighters before dawn Thursday, responders said. A minor arm injury was the only reported casualty after an SUV rolled onto a Paramus resident's lawn in a crash Wednesday afternoon at one of Bergen County's busiest intersections. Paramus Man Stabbed, Fleeing Roommate Captured In Mall Parking Lot
A drunken argument left one Paramus boarding house resident hospitalized with a severe stab wound and another jailed, authorities said Friday. Jose Vasquez-Gonzales pulled a knife and stabbed Luis Cruz, 35, in the abdomen during a fight on the front lawn of the East Ridgewood Avenue boarding home just after midnight, Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said.
