Man Found Dead With Gunshot Wound In South Jersey Home: Prosecutors A Galloway Township man was found dead in a Pleasantville home with a gunshot wound, authorities said. Pleasantville police discovered the body of 38-year-old Baseem Taliaferro on Thursday, May 9, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Officers responded to a report of shots fired at a house on West Pleasant Avenue at around 11:02 p.m. Taliaferro had at least one gunshot wound to his torso. Jerome Holley, 41, of Absecon, was indicted on Tuesday, Feb. 6, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Holley has been charged in the killing of 45-year-old Mamadou Toure. Pleasantville police responded to a shooting on West Pleasant Avenue at around 8:41 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023. Suspect Tosses Loaded Gun During Foot Chase In Pleasantville: Police A 30-year-old suspect reportedly tossed a handgun during a police foot chase before his arrest in South Jersey authorities said. On Thursday, May 19, at 2:47 p.m., Pleasantville Police Sgt. Craig Dennis was patrolling the area near West Pleasant Avenue and Main Street on foot.  Dennis attempted to stop a man, later identified as Lamar Parrish, of Pleasantville, police said.
