Third Person Charged In 2016 Neptune Township Murder Of 20-Year-Old Man
A third person has been arrested in the shooting death of a Bradley Beach man nearly eight years ago, authorities said.
Stephon Keys, 31, of Neptune Township, was already in state prison in a separate case when he was served his charges, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced on Friday, Jan. 12.
Quashon McDuffie, 30, of Long Branch, and Knaliek Joshua, 31, of Asbury Park, were charged in the killing on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023.

Pair Found Guilty In Toms River Shooting Death: Prosecutor
Two men from Toms River have been found guilty in connection with the shooting death of another man, authorities said.
Daivon Sullivan, 21, and Leyron Jones, 26, were found guilty of murder after a jury trial on Thursday, Aug. 17, in connection with the death of Javon Cutler, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
A third defendant, Shadrach Correa, 21, previously pleaded guilty in the case.

A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a double-shooting that claimed the life of a man in Trenton earlier this month, authorities announced.
Anthony Smith, 42, was charged with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons not to possess a weapon, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said in a release on Monday, Sept. 12.

Passaic County sheriff's detectives seized 11,450 heroin folds, more than five ounces combined of unpackaged heroin and cocaine and a loaded gun from a convicted felon from Woodland Park, authorities said.
Jemell Carter, 39, was stopped by the investigators on Summer and Fulton streets in Paterson following a drug deal on Jackson Avenue in Woodland Park on Tuesday, April 19, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said.
In his car, Berdnik said, they found:

Most used in crimes in New Jersey are smuggled in from out of state, most often from the South, after being bought or stolen, authorities say.

3 Charged In Mercer County Narcotics, Weapons Bust
Three suspects were arrested and slapped with drug and weapons charges in a Mercer County narcotics bust last week, authorities said Wednesday.
Xaview Colon, 20 and Bashawn Newton, 28, of Trenton, as well as Jennifer Halcomb, 39, of Maple Shade, were seen in a suspected narcotics sale on Jan. 19, Trenton Police Director Steve E. Wilson said.
A follow-up investigation found Colon to be in possession of a handgun with a high-capacity magazine and a large quantity of heroin, police said.

A 42-year-old man from Edison has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Perth Amboy, authorities said.
Robert Hagens, 42, was charged on Tuesday with the murder of Vidal Carrasquillo-Vasquez, 41, of Perth Amboy, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Perth Amboy Police Chief Roman McKeon.
Hagens also was charged with unlawfully possessing a weapon, they said.

Passaic police investigating a stabbing robbery outside a local club busted seven purported gang members, seizing several weapons, authorities said.
The group chased two men after an incident outside the Third Street club on Feb. 22, Passaic Mayor Hector Carlos Lora said.
One was stabbed in the abdomen and robbed before going to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in a private vehicle, the mayor said. The other victim escaped, he said.
