Central Jersey Authorities Investigate 3 Midnight Shootings Police were investigating at least three separate shootings overnight in Central Jersey, authorities said.  Shootings were reported in Asbury Park, Freehold and Trenton, all shortly before midnight Monday, according to initial reports. EMS responded to a report of a victim with a gunshot wound to the neck at 11:30 p.m. on the first block of Atkins Avenue in Asbury Park, reports said. The victim was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, according to an unconfirmed report.
