Tractor-Trailer Takes Down Pole In Marlboro A tractor-trailer took down a pole and wires in Marlboro, authorities said. The crash on Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 30, closed Harbor Road between Route 79 and Tennent Road, Marlboro police said. There were power outages reported in the area and JCP&L had been notified. A detour will be in place shortly, police said at about 2 p.m.  Please avoid the area if possible, police said.

Dogs Missing, Police Officer Hurt From Monmouth House Fire Two dogs remain missing from a home that suffered a serious fire on Thursday, authorities said. Police and fire officials have been unable to locate the family dogs -- either dead or alive. At 11:05 a.m., Marlboro Township Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from the homeowner at 33 Regina Road in the Morganville section of Marlboro, according to Capt. Stephen J. Levy, a police department spokesman. The fire spread from the garage to a portion of the residence, Levy said. Neal Haynes was on Tennent Road when his motorcycle collided with a car between Greenwood and Wooleytown roads around 4:05 p.m. Sunday, Marlboro police said. Haynes taken by ambulance to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune and later pronounced dead. Police have not released the name of the motorcyclist pending family notification. A 17-year-old driving the car was not injured. He was not charged and the crash remains under investigation. Haynes was remembered in a …
