Rutgers Law School Grad Nominated To Succeed Sheila Oliver In Major Role Gov. Phil Murphy has nominated Rutgers law school graduate Jacquelyn Suárez to step in as Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs after Sheila Y. Oliver’s unexpected death last month. Suárez, who currently serves as the Director of the DCA’s Division of Local Government Services, will serve as Acting Commissioner pending Senate confirmation and will be the first Hispanic Commissioner to hold the title.
