Coast Guard Searches For Missing Jersey Shore Boater, Pair Rescued By Local Police (Developing) One boater remained missing and two others were rescued after a boat capsized in the rough waters of Manasquan Inlet, authorities said. The U.S. Coast Guard was using a helicopter out of Atlantic City and a C-130 cargo plane out of North Carolina to assist in the search off of Point Pleasant, the Coast Guard said on Friday, Sept. 15. A 47-foot motor lifeboat from Manasquan Inlet also was searching the waters. Jersey Shore Man Arrested In Road Rage Incident: Police A 24-year-old driver from Point Pleasant was arrested in connection with a road rage incident and fleeing Brick police, authorities said. Jonathan Weydig was arrested with the assistance of Point Pleasant police, according to Brick police. Weydig had six outstanding warrants and was charged with eluding officers, obstruction and hindering apprehension, police said. Weydig also was issued 12 motor vehicle summonses, they said. Brick Man Charged With Making Fake Bomb Threats That Evacuated Jenkinson Boardwalk A 19-year-old Brick resident was charged with calling in the fake bomb threats that evacuated Jenkinson boardwalk earlier this month. Nkosi Jones called the main boardwalk office on June 3 and 4 reporting bomb threats that were later deemed unfounded, Point Pleasant police said. Jones was charged with two counts of false public alarm and two counts of terroristic threats.
