Among its many challenges, COVID-19 required Howell Township Police Officer Jayme Higgins to refigure how to continue instructing 565 students in five schools in the L.E.A.D. Most courses at a New Jersey university will be held virtually after Thanksgiving. In a letter issued Monday, Monmouth University asked students traveling to any of the 41 states on New Jersey's travel advisory list were urged to stay home after Thanksgiving. Coronavirus concerns have temporarily cancelled classes at Monmouth University -- even those online, officials said. "Effective immediately and with an abundance of caution, Monmouth University is cancelling all classes (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) for the remainder of this week, with spring break beginning as scheduled on Saturday, March 14," the university announced on its website.
