Woman Killed In Red Bank Apartment Fire A woman was killed in an apartment fire at the Jersey Shore early Wednesday, Nov. 15, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The fire broke out around 6:20 a.m. at Evergreen Terrace Apartments in Red Bank, a public housing complex off Drs. James Parker Boulevard, authorities said. A source said the woman was about 90 years old. News12.com said the fire victim had an oxygen tank in her possession. The fire broke out at about 4 p.m. on the 1700 block of Surf Avenue, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The woman's name had not been released. The fire broke out at about 4 p.m. on the 1700 block of Surf Avenue, Belmar police said. Multiple fire departments responded from surrounding towns to assist the Belmar Fire Department including: Spring Lake, Wall, Ocean, Neptune, Sea Girt, Asbury Park, Avon, and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal. Fire Kills Woman At Apartment Complex In Aberdeen Authorities are investigating a fatal fire in Monmouth County. A woman was killed Thursday afternoon at an Aberdeen apartment complex, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office confirmed. Firefighters were called to Tree Haven III apartments at 33 Aberdeen Road at 12:15 p.m., the prosecutor and township said. Cause of the fire is under investigation by members of MCPO, Aberdeen Police Department, and Monmouth County Fire Marshal.

Prosecutor: Middletown Man, 30, Set Family Home On Fire Authorities charged a 30-year-old Middletown man with torching his family's home, authorities said. Thomas A. Farzan was charged with arson and resisting arrest in connection with the pre-dawn Cherry Tree Lane house fire, Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said. Responders saw smoke billowing from the home and Farzon standing near the back door shortly after 5:30 a.m., the prosecutor said. He tried to run but was arrested after a brief struggle, police said.
