LBI Department Store Hand's Saved By New Owner Highly popular department and convenience store Hand's has been saved by a new owner. After nearly 70 years in business, Hand's on Long Beach Island had announced its expected closure in April. In a Facebook post on Saturday, the store at 1310 Long Beach Blvd. in Beach Haven said it would remain open after all. "It was decided that Hands will reopen under new ownership!!" Hand’s, on Long Beach Island, is set to close for good in early April. However, an official closing date for the store at 1310 Long Beach Blvd., in Beach Haven has not been set.
