Man Killed, Another Critical After New Brunswick Shooting
A 23-year-old New Brunswick man was killed and a second man is in critical condition after a targeted shooting, authorities said. Numi Simmons died in the attack, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Chief Vincent Sabo. On Tuesday, March 12, at approximately 9 p.m., police responded to Throop Avenue and Delavan Street for the shooting. Two Teens Charged In Central Jersey Shooting: Prosecutor
Two teenagers have been charged in a February shooting in Central Jersey, authorities said. A 28-year-old man from New Brunswick was shot and killed, authorities said. Markel Williams was shot multiple times on Sunday, June 4 at 10:54 p.m., according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone. Janai Martinez was arrested and charged in the incident on Thursday, March 16, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and New Brunswick Police Director Anthony A. Caputo. A man was critically injured in a daylight shooting in New Brunswick, authorities said. The shooting occurred Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11:08 a.m., according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office. A 55-year-old man was stabbed to death during a fight over a stolen phone Monday, April 18 in New Brunswick, and the suspect remains at large, authorities said. Police, firefighters and EMS crews were called to a reported school bus crash, authorities said.
