An NJ Transit spokesperson said it happened right next to the Hazlet station at around 3:52 p.m. on Thursday, Mar. 21. Yet another lawsuit has been filed in the double-fatal Megabus crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woodbridge in 2022, according to court records. A passenger on the Megabus that crashed killing two passengers and injuring 17 others, has filed a lawsuit against the bus company and its driver, Eric Naughton of Westville. Shock and sorrow spread with the news that a young Westwood man was accidentally dragged and killed by a subway train at the Columbus Circle station in Manhattan. An NJ Transit bus driver from Bloomfield was sentenced to New Jersey State Prison for dragging a passenger returning a woman's pocketbook in Newark, authorities announced. A man was struck and killed by a train Thursday night in Elizabeth, responders said. Northeast Corridor train 3891 struck the man near W. Man Struck By Rockland-To-Hoboken Train
A man was hospitalized after he was struck by a commuter train Sunday night in Paterson. The Main Line #1732 train had left Suffern at 9:07 p.m. and was due to arrive in Hoboken at 10:19 p.m. when it struck the man just west of the Paterson train station shortly before 10 p.m., NJ Transit’s Lisa Torbic said. Responders said they got the victim out from under the train and took him to nearby St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. None of the 16 people were injured and service wasn’t affected, Torbic said.
