A longtime Home Depot employee from South Brunswick was killed when his sedan crashed into a trailer behind the Route 9 store where he'd worked. Allen Szucs, 55, was pronounced dead in the superstore's parking lot after his 1999 Chevy Malibu slammed into the parked trailer shortly before 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, police said. A 40-year-old man is charged with animal cruelty after tying his Siberian husky named "Ace" to the back of a moving tow truck, authorities said. Thomas J. Williams of Monmouth Junction dragged the dog about a half-mile down Henderson Road before other motorists stopped him, South Brunswick police said.
