Update: Driver Jumps To Death From Route 3 Bridge UPDATE: Westbound Route 3 was reopened after authorities recovered the body of a driver who responders said stopped on a bridge on the East Rutherford side of the Hackensack River, got out and jumped. The jumper's body was recovered from the water beneath the bridge across from Secaucus near the American Dream mall following the 10:58 a.m. call on Tuesday, Sept. 20, East Rutherford Police Capt. Jason Vicari, 21, of Wyckoff remained held in the Bergen County Jail following Tuesday's killing of 81-year-old Ronald Vicari. The younger Vicari was taken into custody following a brief SWAT standoff at the older man's Beechwood Avenue home. West New York Motorcyclist, 25, Killed In Meadowlands Crash UPDATE: A 25-year-old motorcyclist from West New York was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash near the Meadowlands in East Rutherford early Wednesday evening, authorities confirmed. The victim went down on the ramp from southbound Route 120 to eastbound Route 3 across from the American Dream shortly after 5 p.m., East Rutherford Deputy Police Chief Phillip Taormina said.
