Two Monmouth County drivers were accused of being intoxicated during a deadly crash, authorities said. Zyasia Henson, 28, of Long Branch, and Edgar Marcial-Diaz, 32, of Red Bank, were charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and two counts of third-degree assault by auto. A man riding a motorized scooter was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Route 35 in Monmouth County that involved a local police officer, state authorities said. The crash occurred on the highway's southbound side near Sunset Avenue in Ocean Township shortly after 9 p.m. Monday, April 15, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin said on Tuesday. Motorcycle Driver Crashes Into Cargo Van, Dies In Central Jersey
A Monmouth County man was killed when his motorcycle crashed into a cargo van, authorities said. William Eckert III, 54, of Eatontown, died in the crash on Monday, Apr. 8, according to a Shrewsbury police spokesperson. It happened at around 2:05 p.m. on Route 35, about 300 feet south of Sycamore Avenue. Eckert was driving a 2016 black motorcycle when he crashed into an unoccupied 2019 cargo van. Paramedics rushed him to Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Police were investigating the cause of the crash.

A Rhode Island-based chain of discount stores is expanding in the Garden State. Ocean State Job Lot will open a new location in the Kohl's Plaza on Route 35 in Holmdel. Central Jersey Man Found With Crack Cocaine During Traffic Stop: Police
A Monmouth County man was accused of having crack cocaine during a traffic stop, authorities said. Wall Township police arrested 45-year-old Donny Reevey of Neptune at around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 19, the department said in a Facebook post. Reevey's arrest came after he was stopped for traffic violations on Route 35 near New Bedford Road. He was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute. Reevey was released on a summons with a future court date.

A Paterson man was arrested after stealing a South Amboy police car and getting into two different crashes, NJ Advance Media reported. Woodbridge police responded to the stolen car at 1:05 p.m. on Monday, July 4. After crashing the stolen car on Route 35, Jamil T. Robinson, 28, fled on foot and allegedly tried to carjack three other vehicles, the outlet said. First responders were called to a report of a serious crash in Monmouth County, authorities said. The rollover crash was reported about 11 a.m. on Route 35 near Woodland Drive in Middletown, according to initial reports. Motorcyclist Killed In Crash ID'd As Former Wall Township EMT
Authorities have identified the 26-year-old motorcyclist who died in a Wall Township crash. Kenneth B. Sosnowski, of Lavallette, lost control of the bike while on the ramp from Route 138 east to Route 35 north, Tuesday night, Wall police said. Sosnowski crashed around 10 p.m., and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. According to his LinkedIn page, Sosnowski was a squad member of Wall's first aid squad from 2014 to 2018. Authorities continued a search Friday for a Burlington County kayaker who apparently couldn’t get back to land before a storm hit the Jersey Shore. Nadem Aksoy, 50, of Bordentown and a friend were fishing in their kayaks on the Navesink River in Monmouth County when the storm blew in around midnight, his brother, Mujdad, told News 12.
