U.S. Marshals arrested a porch pirate who rammed a South Jersey police officer with her vehicle while fleeing from him, authorities said. Ebony E. Gomez of Jacksonville, FL, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 11 in Monroe Township and turned over to Gloucester Township police. Gomez was wanted on various charges including second-degree eluding, endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated assault, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. A porch pirate who rammed a South Jersey police officer with her vehicle while fleeing from him is being sought on multiple charges, officials say. Police spotted Ebony E. Gomez's white Dodge Journey on Jarvis Road in the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township around 1:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, local police said. Gloucester Township police are circulating photos of a man suspected of stealing packages from porches. On Tuesday, Dec. 5, the pictured male suspect wearing a two-tone blue Amazon Jacket stole a package in the Valleybrook Development, police said. Police in Evesham are on the lookout for a pair of people suspected of stealing packages from porches. On Feb. 6,patrol officers responded to multiple residences on Main Street for the report of package thefts, Evesham police said. Teaneck police nabbed three porch pirates from the Bronx in a car packed with packages that had just been stolen from nearly a dozen homes in town, authorities said. An alert resident immediately dialed 911 after seeing a package snatched from a doorstep, Police Chief Glen O’Reilly said. The New Hanover Township Police Department has a real-life grinch on its hands (scroll for video). The thief was caught stealing packages and holiday decor in the Hanover Pointe development off Route 663, in Pottstown, police said in a Facebook post Dec. 2. Home surveillance tapes captured the suspect, a white male possibly in his 20s driving a white Ford F-250 pickup truck, police said. The thief is seen stealing a wreath and small tree from the home. Authorities: Released Porch Pirates Rob Bicyclist On Hackensack Street
Two men charged with stealing dozens of packages from residents' porches in several Bergen County towns robbed a bicyclist on a Hackensack street the same day they were released from custody, authorities said Wednesday. Police in several Bergen County towns were looking for a white pickup truck that victims in at least six towns say was involved in pirating packages from their porches.
