Rabid Fox Bit Jersey Shore Child, Maybe 2 Other Neighbors, Health Officials Say The fox that bit a 4-year-old girl last weekend in Ocean County tested positive for rabies, Health Department officials said. At least two other people also were bitten by a fox recently in Jackson Township, according to the officials and news reports.  It was unclear whether the same fox was  involved. Details about those attacks had not been released.
