Dogs From Jersey Shore Hoarding Case Will Soon Be Up For Adoption: Officials
Some of the nearly 200 pets rescued from nightmarish conditions at a Jersey Shore home will soon be up for adoption, officials are announcing. About 135 dogs and 45 cats were saved from the "Crazy Rescue Ladies" shelter in Brick Township after police found the animals living in stacked crates filled with their own waste early this month, as Daily Voice reported. Rabid Fox Bit Jersey Shore Child, Maybe 2 Other Neighbors, Health Officials Say
The fox that bit a 4-year-old girl last weekend in Ocean County tested positive for rabies, Health Department officials said. At least two other people also were bitten by a fox recently in Jackson Township, according to the officials and news reports. It was unclear whether the same fox was involved. New cases of coronavirus have been reported by three more school districts in Central Jersey. Berkeley Township Elementary School will close for two days after officials identified "additional" coronavirus cases, without disclosing a number or whether they involved students or staff. Lakewood Police Ticket Wedding Hosts Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
Lakewood police broke up 17 over-sized gatherings the past week that violated state coronavirus prevention orders -- but didn't arrest anyone, contrary to multiple media reports, authorities said.
