Driver Hurt After Spinning Out In Wild Tractor Trailer Crash On Route 78: State Police
Two people were injured including one seriously after a three-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Wednesday, May 29 on Route 78 in Hunterdon County, authorities said. A tractor-trailer was parked and unoccupied on the right shoulder on Route 78 West in Lebanon when a Subaru driven by a 60-year-old Northampton, PA woman entered the area and struck the left rear of the truck just after 9 a.m., New Jersey State Police said. PA Kidnapping Suspect Arrested In Holland Tunnel, Victim Hospitalized After Near Abduction
Authorities on Tuesday arrested a 27-year-old Pennsylvania man in the Holland Tunnel after he kidnapped a woman driving on a local street, authorities said. Ruben Carrion Melendez opened the driver's side door of Krystal River's white Nissan and forced her over to the passenger's seat around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, near Commerce Center Boulevard in Northampton, Northampton County District Attorney Terence Houck said. Pennsylvania HS Senior Wins National Taco Bell Scholarship For $25K
A high school senior and Taco Bell employee in Cumberland County won the national Taco Bell scholarship contest, according to the company’s foundation’s website. Emma Seibert, of Enola works at the Taco Bell on Market Place Way and earlier this week she find out that she won the biggest scholarship her employer offers. Her $25,000 scholarship will help cover her tuition at John Hopkins University where she plans to study nursing.
