Victim Confronts NJ Teacher 12 Years After Sexual, Romantic Relationship: Affidavit
At 26 years old, a woman is confronting her former New Jersey teacher who is accused of sexually abusing her 12 years ago, court documents show. Now, the same age as her abuser when they began a relationship, the victim told now-38-year-old Lydia Pinto this month she could never fathom doing what she did: Engage in a relationship with someone 14 or 15 years old, according to the affidavit obtained by Daily Voice. Two Ocean County men were arrested for lighting a fire in a women's restroom and spray-painting swastikas around a public park, authorities said. Alexander Gerber, 19, and Connor Dougherty, 20, both of Lacey Township, are facing arson charges for the fire in the women's restroom in Gille Park on Nov. 21, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Lacey Township Chief of Police Christopher Kenny said. Support is on the rise for the family of a Virginia man gunned down earlier this month. Qutrail Raynard Smalls was shot and killed on Wharf Lane in Triangle on Nov. 14, Prince William County police said. A 51-year-old man died in a crash near Philadelphia International Airport Wednesday morning, Nov. 29, police said. The male driver struck a tree in a southbound 2004 silver Toyota on the 7800 block of Bartram Avenue around 5:45 a.m., city police said. The vehicle slid on an ice patch on the road causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crash, police said. PFD-Medic Unit pronounced the driver dead on the scene at 5:59 a.m. The scene was held.
