Police Free Motorist In Utility Pole Crash That Closed Route 17
Upper Saddle River police officers broke the rear window to free a driver whose SUV landed on its side after hitting a utility pole on Route 17 during the heavy overnight rainstorm, authorities said. The 49-year-old Paterson motorist was headed south when he lost control of his Ford Explorer, which went off the roadway and hit the pole outside Jack Daniels Audi shortly after 1 a.m., Police Capt. Carlstadt Warehouse Specialist Dead In ATV Crash
A 40-year-old Clifton man died after a Pennsylvania ATV crash, authorities said. Jason Borys was driving the ATV when it veered off the road in Penn Forest Township and crashed just before 8 p.m. Saturday, authorities said. He was pronounced dead a short time after. "Adverse" weather conditions and alcohol may have been factors in the crash, authorities said, although the cause remains under investigation. Born in Englewood, Borys was a Warehouse Specialist for Grimco in Carlstadt for several years, and lived most of his life in Clifton, his obituary says. Visiting is scheduled for Frida…

SADDLE RIVER, N.J. -- A truck driver and passenger climbed out safely after a Thursday morning crash on northbound Route 17 in Saddle River.
