A Bergenfield man with a long history of prior motor vehicle violations has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Hackensack last week, Daily Voice has learned.
Terrence Hedden, 38, of Bergenfield, was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without a license, leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury, failure to report an accident, and knowingly leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, in connection with the Friday, May 8, incident.

A 21-year-old Tabernacle man was heading south on Route 206 in a Ford F350 when it collided with a Toyota heading west and driven by John E. Hawley, 66, of Marlton, just before 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, New Jersey State Police Tpr. II Christopher Postorino said.

Two drivers died in a head-on crash on the Garden State Parkway Friday, Oct. 21, authorities said.
Cortney Downey, of Northfield, and Michelle ross, of North Carolina, collided in Little Egg Harbor Township around 9:30 p.m., causing Ross' 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander to overturn, New Jersey State Police said.
