Small Plane Taxis Into Teterboro Airport Building: FAA
A small plane experiencing possible brake failure taxied into a line service building at the main terminal of Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on Thursday night, Sept. 19, federal officials said. Thomas Gibson was the sole occupant of the single-engine Piper PA-12 that crashed into a field near Paramount Air Airport around 9:40 a.m., the FAA and Middle Township police said. A Maryland-bound plane made an emergency landing in New Jersey after the cockpit became filled with smoke, officials said.
