Peekskill Woman Scares, Scratches Child, Yorktown Police Say A 29-year-old Peekskill mom is facing charges of child endangerment after she was accused of chastising an 8-year-old Yorktown boy, police said. Tiffany Costa turned herself in and was arrested at police headquarters in Yorktown on Tuesday, Feb. 28, in connection with an incident in Jefferson Valley the week before, police said. Police said Costa had gone to the boy’s East Main Street home to demand that he apologize to her son. Police did not say why the apology was being sought. Wesley Hills Man Charged With DWI After One-Car Crash RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A 35-year-old Wesley Hills man is facing felony charges after crashing his car in the village Tuesday, Ramapo police said. The unnamed man was driving on Grandview Avenue around 8:30 a.m. when he apparently missed a yield sign and drove off the road, police said. He was arrested at the scene and charged with felony driving while intoxicated because of “previous convictions,” police said. He was arraigned and taken to the Rockland County Jail where he is awaiting a court date.

A Brooklyn native, Reilly was the son of the late Andrew and Ella (Recker) Reilly. His wife, Mary “May” Ryan Patterson, died in 2003. Their son, Lance Corporal William Raymond Reilly, USMC, died while fighting in Vietnam in 1966. Reilly was an NYPD officer for 20 years.
