Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Man Dies In Fall Off NJ Turnpike In Newark State Police were investigating the death of a 22-year-old Brooklyn man on the New Jersey Turnpike in Newark Friday night.  Many of the circumstances were still under investigation Saturday morning, but according to police, the man was an occupant in a vehicle that had pulled over north of Exit 14 in Newark around 10:15 p.m.  The man left the vehicle and was attempting to jump from the cars-only side of the turnpike to the trucks side when he fell about 80 feet to his death, the spokesman said.   State Police did not immediately release his name.  This story will …

Police: Homeowner Watched Union Burglary On Video In Real Time, Suspect Caught A Union homeowner was at work in New York when the homeowner watched someone burglarize the residence via their video security system, police said.  A rookie police officer, Thyago Morais, was dispatched to the home on Roseland place Wednesday afternoon and caught the suspect, James Reed, coming out of the rear garage. Morais, who joined the force in January, arrested Reed without incident.  Reed, 42, of Orange, has been charged with burglary, criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools.
