Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Nearly Two Dozen, Including Several Kids, Displaced By Jersey City Fire Firefighters in Jersey City contained a residential blaze in less than an hour Tuesday but the home sustained heavy water damage, a city spokeswoman said.  The JCFD responded to 113 Ocean Ave., a three-story building, around 12:30 p.m. The fire was confined to a front bedroom on the third floor.  No one was injured, but the home sustained heavy water damage from the activated fire sprinklers. The Red Cross was helping a total of 9 adults and 12 children relocate.   The cause of the fire was still under investigation Tuesday afternoon.

Newark Man Charged In String Of Belleville Burglaries A 57-year-old Newark man was arrested Monday and charged with a series of nighttime commercial burglaries in Belleville, police said.  In all four burglaries police said Anthony Meyers smashed an exterior door window, enter the business and empty the cash register. He was arrested in Newark.  Meyers was arrested thanks to surveillance video submitted by businesses and residents and with help from Maplewood and Newark police, the New Jersey Regional Operations Intelligence Center and the Newark Real Time Crime Center, Belleville police also said.
