Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Jeep Crashes Through Guardrail In Mahwah, Lands In Creek A Jeep traveling south on Rt. 17 in Mahwah Sunday afternoon left the roadway and toppled down an embankment into a creek, witnesses at the scene said.  It happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 300 block of the highway, where the Jeep crashed through a guardrail. Firefighters from the Mahwah Fire Department freed the victim and carried him to a waiting Mahwah EMS ambulance. Police closed the right lane as crews worked.  The victim's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. Police at the scene declined to comment on the cause of the crash.

Driver Loses Control, Crashes On Slick Roadway In Fair Lawn, Police Say A 31-year-old Haskell man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after his car hydroplaned on a wet roadway in Fair Lawn, police said.  The man was driving southbound on Rt. 208 around 8:11 a.m. when he lost control of his 2004 Camry, police said. He crossed lanes and crashed through at least two road signs before his car came to a stop, police also said.  The driver was issued a summons for careless driving.  Police remind drivers to take it slow and to activate their headlights and wipers in snowy, rainy or icy conditions.
