Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Update: Bank In Elizabeth Robbed, Report Says Witnesses reported seeing several police cars around a Bank of America branch at 600 Elizabeth Ave. in Elizabeth Wednesday afternoon. Multiple police vehicles were staged in the area as of 5 p.m. The FBI confirmed someone entered the bank around 4:20 p.m., announced a robbery and made off with an unknown amount of cash, according to a published report.  Video from the scene posted to Facebook shows police interviewing staff inside the bank early Wednesday evening.  A city spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment.

Update: Montclair High Student Did Not Have Weapon, Police Say Montclair High School and Renassiance School were in a "lockdown situation" Wednesday morning based on an inaccurate report of a student with a weapon, police said in a statement released Wednesday afternoon.  Responding police quickly located the student near the George Inness Annex and determined the student was unarmed. A spokesman said police did identify two other students who may have been involved in the incident, adding that it remained under investigation Wednesday.  No one was injured and no arrests have been made, police also said.

Elizabeth Ends Scooter Program In Wake Of Teen's Death: Report Elizabeth officials Tuesday voted to end the city's e-scooter ride share program a week after a 16-year-old boy was killed while riding one, according to published reports.  All eight members of the city council who were present voted to cancel the city's short-lived agreement with Lime, which has 154 scooters in the city. Truck Crashes Into West Orange Restaurant, Driver Hurt A landscaping truck plowed through the front of a restaurant in West Orange Tuesday afternoon, a spokesman for the township confirmed.  The truck left the roadway and struck Huguito's Restaurant & Bar on White Street around 4:40 p.m. The building inspector and West Orange first responders were at the scene Tuesday afternoon.  The driver suffered a leg injury.
