Tyree Thomas is also accused of weapons offenses and of using a minor to distribute drugs, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Thomas, who is also known as “Hellboy,” leads the Sheedside Prius set of the gang and is also a high-ranking member of another East Orange Bloods set known as MOB Pirus, according to federal authorities. The gangs also operate in Orange and Newark.

Authorities say that between April and July, Thomas purchased drugs on multiple occasions from an undercover agent of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Thomas now faces up to 40 years if convicted on the charge of conspiracy to distribute marijuana and PCP, and 80 years in prison for allegedly using a minor to distribute drugs, and five years on the weapons charge.
