Meet NJ's First Babies Born In 2022

Oh, baby, they're here! New Jersey welcomed its first babies born in 2022.

The first in the state was delivered at 12:02 a.m., at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth. Keyla was born to Maria and Jose Duchi of Irvington and weighed 6 pounds and 15 ounces. Dr. Hannah Seltzer delivered her.

At 12:07 a.m., Gabriel David DeCurtis-Springsteen was born at Hackensack University Medical Center, at 6 pounds and 5 ounces. His parents are Katlynn DeCurtis and Thomas Springsteen, of Belleville.

At 12:37 a.m.,  Zayden Sire was born to Shonicee and Brian Brimage of Newark. He weighed 5 pounds and 10 ounces, and was due to arrive in mid-January -- but couldn't wait and gave mom a surprise on New Year's Eve when her water broke.

The family is resting comfortably in their private room in the newly-designed Mother-Baby Unit and will join an older brother and sister at home.

At 12:58 a.m., baby Caden Nguyen Tran was born at Jefferson Washington Township Hospital to Linda Nguyen, a surgical nurse at the hospital, and her husband, Vankiet Tran, of Pennsauken. The couple also has a three-year-old daughter, Sofia, at home.

At 1:05 p.m., Avienne Violet Neira was born at Englewood Health to Christian Neira and Angelika Uy. She weighed 6 pounds and 10.5 ounces. The family is from North Bergen.

Baby Eva Muhammad was born at 1:44 a.m. to Andrea Anderson and Naseer Muhammad at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. She weighed 6 pounds and 13 ounces.

At The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, Zion Donovan Bolden-Smith was born at 4:53 a.m. His parents are Sarah and Donovan, and he weighed 7 pounds and 11 ounces. The family lives in Bloomingdale.

At Holy Name in Teaneck, baby Ezra was born to Yamila and Ricardo of Bergenfield at 4:30 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds and 9 ounces.
