A Cape May County beach desperate for more sand will get some emergency help for this summer, officials said. The state has authorized a short-term beach renourishment project along the coast of North Wildwood. Gov. A 32-year-old former teacher from North Bergen has been charged with sexually assaulting a student at Carteret Middle School, authorities said. Jeffrey Munguia was also charged on Wednesday, April 24 with endangering the welfare of a child, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carterest Police Chief Dennis McFadden. BettiJo Leslie (Burns) Williams, of Pedricktown, died peacefully on Monday, April 22, surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer, according to an obituary published by Adams Funeral Home. She was 41 years old. BettiJo, a native of Bridgeton, grew up in Millville and was a 2001 graduate of Millville High School. Two People Injured In Crash Near Cape May County Beachfront
Two people were hospitalized after two SUVs crashed a couple of blocks from the beachfront in Cape May County, officials said. In a Facebook post, the Stone Harbor Volunteer Fire Company said firefighters responded to the crash at the intersection of 103rd Street and Second Avenue at around 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 24. When emergency crews arrived, they found two people who were injured. Stone Harbor and Avalon paramedics treated the victims and brought them to a hospital. A photo of the crash showed front-end damage to two SUVs, including a silver Chevrolet Equinox.
