Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Police Vehicle In South Jersey ID'd Authorities identified a man who was struck and killed by a police car in South Jersey before dawn on Thanksgiving as a 44-year-old resident of Berlin. Christofe “Christopher” Wita was hit on the White Horse Pike (Route 30) near Whispering Pine Drive in the Atco section of Camden County's Waterford Township at 2:19 a.m. Nov. 23, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin said.  Wita was pronounced dead at the scene, Platkin said. Myers, 68, was reported missing to the Cherry Hill Police Department by family members on June 7. On Tuesday, Oct. 4, a man hunting in a remote section of Wharton State Forest saw what appeared to be human skeletal remains and contacted the Waterford Township Police Department, local police said. Detectives Seek Public's Help Identifying Bank Robbery Suspect: Prosecutor Detectives in Camden County seek the public’s help identifying a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Atco. On Thursday, Sept. 22, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and Waterford Township Police Department responded to the Truist Bank at 249 White Horse Pike in Atco for a bank robbery that occurred at 4:22 p.m.  The suspect, shown in surveillance images, was described as a Hispanic male, wearing a dark jacket and mask.  The investigation is ongoing.
