A 15-year-old died and five others rescued from a non-lifeguarded beach at the Jersey Shore Sunday, May 28, officials said. A 19-year-old Morris County man died and five others were hurt in a boating accident Sunday on the Jersey Shore. The pontoon boat struck a marker near the Route 37 bridge in Barnegat Bay, throwing two of the six individuals on board into the water around 1:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. A 38-year-old woman stabbed two of her neighbors, authorities said. Candace Haynes of Brick cut the women with a knife and is charged with assault, Brick police said in a press statement on Tuesday. An intoxicated man was injured Monday evening by a train as it passed through Long Branch, authorities said.
