A man was found dead in a fire that started at a homeless encampment under the Atlantic City Boardwalk, authorities said. Bruce Eder, 67, who last lived in Atlantic City, was killed in the fire, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. A 56-year-old man from Cumberland County had to be airlifted to a hospital after a fire, authorities said. The fire burned a camper and a detached garage in Hopewell Township on Sunday, April 7, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron. Troopers responded to a residence on Barretts Run Road at about 9:20 p.m. and found the structures in the backyard of the property on fire, Lebron said. A man killed in a house fire in Ocean City has been identified, authorities said. Ronald Reichenbach, 63, died in the fire at his home on the 1900 block of Asbury Avenue, according to an Ocean City spokesman. The blaze broke out at about 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13. Truck Driver, 30, Dies In Fiery NJ Turnpike Wreck
A 30-year-old Pennsylvania man died in a fiery crash on the New Jersey Turnpike over the weekend. The unnamed Huntingdon Valley man was behind the wheel of a Volvo bobtail heading south on the Turnpike in Bordentown when it collided with a Volvo semi-trailer around 4:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron said. The Volvo bobtail traveled off the road, collided with the sound barrier, and became engulfed in flames. As a result of the crash, the driver died. There were no other injuries reported. A woman was killed in an apartment fire at the Jersey Shore early Wednesday, Nov. 15, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office. The fire broke out around 6:20 a.m. at Evergreen Terrace Apartments in Red Bank, a public housing complex off Drs. James Parker Boulevard, authorities said.
