Swimmers Rescued Off Jersey Shore Beaches There have been at least three water rescues this past week along Avon beaches, according to authorities and news reports. The first rescue of a pair of swimmers from rough surf came Saturday, Sept. 16 off Sylvania Avenue beach and was led by ANSWER — the Area Network of Shore Water Emergency Responders water rescue team. At 9:22 p.m., the ANSWER Team responded to Avon for a report of someone yelling for help, the team said on Facebook.
