A 38-year-old teacher in Maryland has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor, police announced on Sunday. On Friday, Carlos Arroyo was arrested by detectives with the Baltimore County Crimes Against Children Unit following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a juvenile, according to authorities. A sheriff’s deputy in Maryland has been charged with raping a person in custody last week in Wicomico County, his employer announced on Monday, Oct. 31. A Maryland man already in prison on a drug conviction is facing additional time behind bars and will have to continue registering as a sex offender upon his release after admitting to producing child pornography. Luis Rivera, 34, formerly of Elkton Maryland, was sentenced in US District Court to 20 years in federal prison, followed by 20 years of supervised release, Judge George L. Russell, III announced. A detention center employee has been arrested after accusations of being sexually involved with an inmate in Annapolis, officials say.
