A father whose toddler suffered a fatal gunshot wound in December pleaded guilty to manslaughter and other offenses for leaving an unsecured weapon in their Baltimore home, according to the state's attorney's office on Friday. Christopher Gamble has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, with all but 10 years suspended, with the first five without the possibility of parole in connection to the death of 2-year-old Charlee Gamble. More than 61,000 gun cases sold nationwide are being recalled due to a malfunction that can allow unauthorized people to access dangerous weapons, and already led to the death of a child. Illinois-based Fortress Safe announced this week that the biometric gun safes were being recalled due to a "serious safety hazard and risk of death" caused by a programming feature that made the safes more accessible.
