Construction Worker Airlifted To Hospital After Cutting Leg Working On Roof Of Maryland Home
A construction worker who suffered a painful injury while on the job in Calvert County had to be airlifted to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation, fire officials say. At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, paramedics and a helicopter responded to a stretch of Ridge Road in Huntingtown, where there was a report of a construction worker who cut his leg with a saw. Maryland HS Briefly Evacuated, Students Fall Ill From Odor, Report States
A high school building in Maryland was temporarily evacuated on Tuesday morning when several students fell ill, according to a WBAL report. Glen Burnie High School Principal Kevin Carr sent a letter to parents advising that several students were treated at the health office and were taken to area hospitals as a precaution for evaluation, while the building was temporarily evacuated and then safely reopened a few minutes later, the outlet states. Lane Closures Extended In Calvert County Due To Supply Chain Issues
Sewer line repairs in Calvert County have led to an extended lane closure on a busy roadway to allow crews to complete the project. In mid-June, the Calvert County Department of Public Works Water and Sewerage Division began repairs on HG Trueman Road between Rousby Hall Road and Southern Connector Boulevard in Lusby. The project led to lane closures on HG Trueman Road to allow for the installation of jersey walls. Tree And Debris Removal Will Require Day-Long Bridge Closure In Maryland
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT) announced that a busy bridge will be closed for several hours this week to allow contracting crews to clear the area of debris. John Cervenka Of Pasadena, Glen Burnie, Dies Christmas Eve
A lifelong resident of Pasadena and Glen Burnie, John C. Cervenka has passed away at 50-years-old. Cervenka died on Christmas Eve in his home. The cause of death was not made public. As a native of Anne Arundel County, Cervenka graduated from Northeast High School in 1989.
