A 34-year-old man who terrorized banks and business owners over the course of several weeks in 2022 will spend more than a decade behind bars, federal authorities announced. Baltimore resident Dexter Nikoe Eaton was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for armed bank robbery, related to a series of bank and armed commercial robberies. Investigators in Baltimore have arrested a man for his alleged role in a fatal shooting involving a 28-year-old man late last month, police say. City resident Tony Dukes, 34, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the death of Eugene Fitzgerald, who died at an area hospital in March after being shot. Arrest Made In Baltimore Shootout That Struck Innocent Deliveryman
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shootout in which a deliveryman was stuck by a stray bullet last month in Baltimore. Darrien Gaither of Baltimore has been charged with attempted murder in connection with the Dec. 29, 2023 incident on the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Avenue, Baltimore police said. Gaither was in one group of juveniles that had been exchanging gunfire in a parking lot around 6:10 p.m., police said. A stray bullet in the shootout struck the deliveryman, 50, in the ankle. Body Found In Container Confirmed To Be Missing 75-Year-Old Versey Spell
Baltimore Police have identified the body found in a container as that of a missing 75-year-old woman. Versey Spell was reported missing to authorities in October 2022, according to Baltimore police. On Tuesday, March 7, Spell's body was found inside a container in the 3900 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. Ms. Spell was last seen at her home in the 3900 block of Barrington Road in October 2022. A 46-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after killing a man in Baltimore last winter, authorities say. Michael Harvey, 46, was arrested in connection to the murder of Aaron Adams, 29, which took place on Dec. 17, 2021 in the 600 block of Laurens Street just before 1 p.m., according to Baltimore police. Police are asking for the public's help identifying suspects after releasing security video from a homicide this past winter, authorities say.
