An investigation was launched after a pedestrian was fatally struck shortly after 1:15 a.m. on June 3 in the 1000 block of University Boulevard in Takoma Park, investigators say. The driver then fled the scene and has not been located. It is now being investigated by the Montgomery County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
