Fugitive Barricaded In Frederick Motel Airlifted To Hospital After Officer-Involved Shooting A man wanted for sexually abusing a child in Pennsylvania was airlifted to an area hospital following an officer-involved shooting at a Frederick County motel on Friday morning. Shortly before midnight on Aug. 1, deputies from the Frederick County Police Department and Sheriff's Office were called to the Super 8 motel on Monocacy Boulevard, where they were tipped off about a fugitive wanted out of Beaver County who was believed to be in the area. Victim Attacked With Hammer, Shot Dead In Maryland (Developing) One person was airlifted to an area hospital after being attacked with a hammer and shot in Northern Maryland. Shortly before 4 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, officers in Hagerstown (Washington County) were called to a home in Devonshire Road to investigate a reported assault.
