Resort Worker Killed By Snowmobile In Berkshires, Officials Say The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit is investigating an apparent accidental death at a Western Massachusetts resort.  According to Andrew McKeever, of the Berkshires District Attorney's Office, detectives responded to the Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort in Hancock on Tuesday, Jan. 4, following a snow groomer and a snowmobile collision. Kimberlee Francoeur, 30, of Lanesborough, died after the snow groomer operator backed into the snowmobile she was operating, McKeever said. Gusty Winds Down Tree Limbs, Cause Scattered Power Outages In Massachusetts Hundreds of Massachusetts residents are now without power as wind gusts topping 50 mph whip through the region. A High Wind Warning is in effect until 4 p.m. Monday, March 29. As of around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, utility crews from Eversource were still working to repair dozens of outages that were impacting 2,766 of the company’s 220,386 customers in Western Massachusetts. An additional 71 customers were impacted in Central and Eastern Massachusetts, according to the company. Covid-19: Local Vaccine Appointments At Major Pharmacies, Grocers All Booked By 9 a.m. CVS has expanded locations where people can get a COVID-19 vaccine, but as of 8:50 a.m. on Monday, March 8, appointments for the first doses were all taken. The expansion means that COVID-19 vaccines are available at more than 100 CVS pharmacies in Massachusetts including those in Worcester, West Springfield, Southwick, Sturbridge, Northampton, Leominster, Lanesborough, Holyoke, Greenfield, and Great Barrington.
