Police ID Woman Hit, Killed Walking On North Andover Sidewalk Authorities released the name of the 47-year-old woman who was killed when she was hit by a car while walking on a North Andover sidewalk on Sunday, May 7.  Angela Desmond of North Andover was struck while walking along Massachusetts Avenue near Route 125 by a Honda Civic around 1:30 p.m., the Essex County District Attorney said Tuesday.  Authorities rushed her to Lawrence General Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.  Police have not released the driver's name because they have not been charged with anything at this time.
