A former officer with the Weymouth Police Department might never serve again after gruesome footage caught him assaulting a suspect during an arrest last year, leading his superiors to determine that he used excessive force multiple times while serving with the department. Justin Chappell is facing decertification for “a pattern of unprofessional conduct” during his time with the Weymouth Police Department, according to a letter from the Massachusetts POST Commission dated March 28, 2023, obtained by Daily Voice. $5,000 Worth Of Items Taken From Stoughton Ulta; Police Seeking Suspect IDs
Stoughton Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects who took almost $5,000 worth of products from an Ulta store. The suspected thieves did not pay for the items at Ulta's Taunton and Cranston, RI locations in addition to the Stoughton store, police said on Facebook. The duo left the store, located at 1352 Park Street in Stoughton, in a four-door White Nissan. Anyone who recognizes either of the woman is asked to contact police at 781-344-2424.

The body of a 40-year-old woman found in an outbuilding in Stoughton is being treated as a homicide, the North County District Attorney announced. Stoughton officers found the body of Amber Buckner, a Stoughton resident, at an outbuilding at 743 Park Street near 5th Street Tuesday morning, Dec. 13, authorities said. Buckner had "significant injuries," prosecutor Michael Morrissey said during a press conference. He didn't go into any details about them. Two people are injured following a four-car crash outside a shopping plaza in Stoughton, authorities said. Police and fire responded to the crash near RK Plaza around 1:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, Stoughton Police Chief Brian Holmes reports. Upon arrival, officers found four vehicles involved in the crash. Two people were taken to local hospitals with injuries, Holmes said. Their conditions were no specified. Boston Man To Serve A Decade For Robbing Child At Knifepoint In Stoughton
A Boston man was sentenced this week to 10 years in prison for breaking into a home and robbing a child at knifepoint over a year ago, the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office reports. Prosecutors said that Lamaar Matthews, age 30, and Valery Daniel, age 19, planned on stealing drugs from a Stoughton home one night in January 2021.
